On this year for priests... I will try my best to pray for them more. My prayers for their spiritual strength and guidance from the Holy Spirit. Priests have been a part of the most important events in my Catholic life, and I cannot do enough to repay them for all they have done to me, especially when I receive the sacraments. I can only offer the most powerful prayer for priests to touch more lives the way Jesus has touched our lives. I also hope that more will embrace this calling.

SANTO NINO DE CEBU Cebu, Philippines (details: thanks to wikipedia and other sites) The image measures approximately twelve inches tall, and is believed to be originally made in Flanders, Belgium . The statue is clothed in valuable textiles, and bears an  imperial regalia  that includes a solid gold crown, globus cruciger, and various sceptres mostly donated from devotees in the Philippines and abroad. The image of the Santo Niño is kept in the Santo Nino Chapel of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu. It is considered the oldest religious relic in the Philippines. Ang Ash Wednesday o Miyerkules ng Abo o Miercoles de Ceniza ay unang araw ng Panahon ng Kuwaresma para sa mga Kristiyano, panahon ng pagninilay at pagsasakripisyo bilang paghahanda sa Pasko ng Pagkabuhay ni Kristo. Nagpapalagay ang mga tao ng abo sa noo, sa anyo ng krus man o kahit guhit lamang, bilang paalala na nagmula sa abo at sa abo magbabalik (Gen. 3:19). Ang abo ay galing sa sinunog na mga palaspas na ginamit noong nakaraang Mahal na Araw. MGA KATOLIKO LANG BA ANG GUMAGAWA NIYAN? Noon iyon.
